QUETTA: Cameramen of Aaj TV and Dawn News Shehzad Khan and Mehmood Khan respectively lost their lives in the line of duty in a suicide explosion at Civil Hospital in Quetta.

The Aaj TV cameraman died on the spot when a bomb blast rocked the civil hospital.

Mehmood Khan of Dawn News sustained critical injuries and was rushed to hospital, where he breathed his last.

The blast killed at least 63 people and injured scores of others after mourners including journalists and lawyers gathered at a hospital in Quetta following the fatal shooting of Balochistan Bar Association President Bilal Anwar Kasi.

Video footage showed bodies strewn on the ground, some still smoking, among pools of blood and shattered glass as shocked survivors cried and comforted one another.

Chief of Army Staff General (COAS) Raheel Sharif offered condolences with Balochistan High Court (BHC) Chief Justice and panel of judges for all those who lost their lives.

General Raheel also visited Civil Hospital to enquired after health of injured persons
