The Career Services Office (CSO) is going to conduct the Mega Education Fair 2012 at LUMS on November 16, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. to5:00 p.m.

At the event, there will be plenty of opportunity for students to interact with the representatives of various foreign universities and educational consultants. The representatives will give presentations and will attend to the queries/concerns regarding post graduate education.

LUMS Department of Electrical Engineering presents has planned to organize Third Pak-German Workshop on Field & Assistive Robotics today.

The theme of the workshop is to introduce new and exciting areas of research in field and off-road robotics. It is the 3rd workshop in a series of similar events, initiated with the 1st Pak-German Workshop on Field Robotics held in October 2011 in Lahore, followed by the 2nd German-Pakistani Workshop on Field and Assistive Robotics held in June 2012 in Dagstuhl, Germany.

Following the concept from previous events, the workshop will cover a diverse range of related topics, such as motion planning algorithms; biomimetic robotic mechanisms; terrain classification; and other issues associated with the development of autonomous robots. The workshop will feature mini-courses and research presentations by experts in field robotics from University of Kaiserslautern, Germany and LUMS. The workshop will also provide an opportunity for robotics researchers in Pakistan to exchange ideas and develop new collaborations in this emerging area.

The organisers of this event are Dr. Abubakr Muhammad (EE Dept), Dr. Mian Awais (CS Dept) and the Technical University of Kaiserslautern, Germany.
